I am registered as a psychotherapist (behavioral therapy) in Austria, more specifically in the list of psychotherapists according to § 17 para. 5 Psychotherapy Act, Federal Law Gazette No. 361/1990 (PthG).
In addition to my psychotherapeutic work, I also offer coaching in a professional context. In doing so, I support clients in general professional challenges as well as specifically managers to promote their growth and enable the development of new perspectives and approaches.
My continuous professional development is very important to me. For example, in 2022 I completed further training in Imagery Rescripting and Reprocessing Therapy (IRRT) with Prof. Mervyn Schmucker and obtained Level 1 certification in 2023. Since 2022, I have completed comprehensive training in clinical hypnosis according to Milton Erickson at the MEI in Graz and successfully concluded it in 2024. Already during this training, I was able to integrate hypnosis into my psychotherapeutic work and continue to offer this method in close consultation with my clients to specifically support the therapeutic process. I will continue my education in the future: For 2025, I am planning further training in ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy), a new approach to behavioral therapy that focuses on acceptance and mindfulness and which I greatly appreciate and can use well in my work.
I have a broad range of experience: During my training, I worked from February 2019 to March 2020 in a psychosocial counseling center in Leibnitz (Psychosocialer Dienst Leibnitz) and at the same time in my own practice in Graz. Since April 2021, I have been working at the Institute for Psychosomatics and Behavioral Therapy in Graz (IPVT) (www.psychosomatik.at). My basic training included an internship at the Aloisianum in Graz, a residential community for alcohol-dependent individuals. During my specialist training, I gained valuable clinical experience at the South site of the LKH Graz II on ward PS24, a subacute ward focusing on female-specific psychiatric disorders. This time gave me important insights into clinical work in psychiatry and was very instructive for me.
My multicultural competence is another important aspect of my work: I grew up with German and Italian as my mother tongues and therefore have deep insights into German and Italian culture. I also have very good knowledge of English and good knowledge of Spanish. Through my many years of living and working in Graz, I have also come to know and appreciate Austrian culture and way of life.
My professional career has been varied and enriching: After studying economics in Italy, a Master’s in Human Resources Management in Ireland, and several years of professional experience as a business economist in Germany, Italy, and Austria, I decided to embark on a new career path and completed the six-year training in psychotherapy and behavioral therapy at AVM https://institut-avm.at/ (Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Verhaltensmodifikation) AVM (Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Verhaltensmodifikation) in Graz and Vienna. These experiences in different countries and professional fields have taught me a lot personally and provide me with valuable insights that I can use well in my current psychotherapeutic work for my clients.
I have been registered as a psychotherapist (behavioral therapy) since 2021. I look forward to delving deeper into behavioural therapy field and further expanding my practice in Graz.
